Sara Bonnici

I am an Early Childhood Education student at Humber Polytechnic with a strong passion for nature-based and relational learning. Through my placement experiences, I have collaborated with children, educators, and families to create inclusive and responsive environments that nurture curiosity, exploration, and meaningful connections.
I value child-led learning and believe children are capable, curious, and full of possibility. My approach centers on building relationships and supporting each child's unique interests, creating a sense of belonging while encouraging exploration and growth.
Land Acknowledgment
I respectfully acknowledge that the land on which I live, learn, and work is the traditional territory of many Indigenous Peoples, including the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, Wendat, and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. This land is covered by Treaty 13 and the Williams Treaties.

As someone whose family immigrated to Turtle Island, I recognize that my ability to call this place home is connected to the histories of colonization and displacement of Indigenous Peoples.

I feel deeply connected to the land and believe it is alive and relational. I commit to continuing to learn, listen, and honour the original caretakers of this land.
